I do like this idea. I think Riot is moving in the right direction with this. Although, it does remain to be seen if it'll pan out in practice as it's designed on paper.

EVE Online tried to set up their player council, which was almost instantly infiltrated by self-serving corporate lackeys. Thankfully, it sounds like Riot has heard of EVE's system, and went in a totally different direction by making petition assignment random, and also majority rules. Although it's probably unavoidable that some asshats will end up on this board, it sounds like these checks and balances will minimize their impact, and result in them losing their seat.

I REALLY hope this pans out, as it'll be a model for other games to follow (hopefully).

I use Omen and Recount (and other inconsequential mods like OneBag and Titan), but ONLY for personal edification. I never use them against anyone, but in groups, I'll keep an eye on Omen just to make sure that I'm not receiving more threat then I should (DPS).

I can't be 100% against add-ons as a user of add-ons, but I do NOT think that a game is incomplete without them. I'd like to see Rift stay add-on free.

I'd also like a time machine to go back to the days when people guarded their knowledge and everything wasn't in a database.
